Nomination Process

Application Requirements

To ensure a comprehensive evaluation, applicants must provide the following:

  1. Summary Statement: In 30 words or less, encapsulate the core justification for the award. This concise statement may be featured on the award certificate.
  2. Individual Nominee’s Achievements: A detailed overview of the nominee’s achievements in social sciences and conservation biology. This section serves as the primary source of information for the selection process and voting. It should offer a brief resume of the individual, group, or institution and highlight the specific achievements that merit recognition.
  3. Current CV: A current curriculum vitae providing additional context to the nominee’s qualifications and experience.
  4. Letter of Support: Nominees are required to provide the name and email address of a colleague who can supply a letter of support, not exceeding 250 words. The supporting letter should articulate why the nominee is deserving of the Distinguished Service Award.
