SSWG Membership

Since establishment in 2003, the SSWG of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) has grown to over 700 members from more than 70 countries. We also have a vibrant discussion group of over 1,200 members committed to the conservation social sciences. We look forward to engaging with you soon.

To become a member of our vibrant community:

  1. Go to conbio.org, the Society for Conservation Biology’s homepage.
  2. Logon to your SCB Membership page or sign-up if you are not yet a member of the Society for Conservation Biology.
  3. On the right hand side of your member page (at the top it will say ‘Welcome’ and then your name), you will see the “Your Society Involvement” menu bar. Under Working Group Associations in this menu bar, click the “Join a a Working Group” option and select “Social Science” from the drop down menu. Then click “add.”
  4. You should now be an official member of the Social Science Working Group.

Please direct membership questions to our Memberships and Nomination Committee Chair, Lily Van Eeden.
