Conference Theme:Â “Sustaining Hope for Impact: Social Science for a Just & Resilient Conservation Future”
Conservation challenges are shaped by social dynamics, governance systems, and human decision-making. Social science plays a critical role in understanding these processes and informing conservation approaches that are more equitable and effective. This conference brings together research and practical experiences that highlight how social science contributes to conservation policy and practice, supporting sustainable and just outcomes for both people and nature.

The 2026 Conservation Social Science Conference invites abstract submissions from researchers, practitioners, students, and policymakers working at the intersection of conservation and society.
